Industrial Trip

Patterson’s is an excellent resource for school visits. Pupils are given an insight into a bygone industrial era and can watch many scientific processes in action through waterpower, turbines, pulleys, gears and levers. Special two-hour educational tours are available. The mill also demonstrates many aspects of mechanical and civil engineering, and would be of interest to students in secondary level education, particularly with interests in engineering and physics. for more information.

Archaeological

Guided tours to archaeological, geological sites in the Northern Cape, including engravings and Bushmen paintings. Tour can include an underground visit at an operational De Beers diamond mine and visits to Wonderer Cave, Nooitgedacht Glacial Pavings and Wildebeest Kuil The tour can be combined with other activities to complete the Northern Cape experience.
